So my wife & I spent a week in London/Paris last fall, and while we were walking around near the Louve I saw this in an art gallery window. For sale. It looks like a kid’s toy, baked in a microwave and mounted to paper stock. Or just run over by a Renault.

it looks like it’s made entirely out of discarded bubble gum.

Looks like a wax sculpture that was left out on a warm day.

Me neither. Check this one out. This was in an art gallery in Maui. The floor jack table is kind of cool, if not expensive for a small table, but a melted Lambo?

The arteest was making a statement. Get a Lambo hot enough (But... how?) and it’ll just melt.

I like to look at art for its aesthetic value and not try to understand the why, unless it is a concept car. That makes pieces like this waaaaay better.

it’s because we have an eye for this type of art. That and we like fresh breath, with makes us infanitely with the medium the artist chose to convey his hatred of symmetry.

Some art has meaning. People who act like it all does are full of shit.
That’s a neat piece. It’s meaningless and purely aesthetic, though. Worth maybe $2 to the right buyer considering you can easily replicate it. If it made some sort of statement, that could increase its value. But it just doesn’t.

If jesus was on the motorcycle, and the motorcycle was on fire, it would be social commentary and infinately more valuable because of the controversy it would cause
